"The Blooms of Spring"
by Georgia Lloyd
Leaves with little prickles
Holes
dug by rabbits tickles
Wild flowers with white little petals
Grape
vines and stinging nettles
A great oak tree and little piggies three
Long
grass, wild dandelions
Puddles of water and twenty river ties
Buttercups
and sticks
Trees with bark that’s got all sorts of tricks
Pink
flowers, spring showers
Trees that grow one hundred feet high
And
the sun right up in the sky

About the author/poet: (age: 8)
Hi my name is Georgia. I'm an
Australian. I've been living in France for the last 2 years. I was walking through the vineyard at my house and I thought
of a poem and since I had my notebook so I started writing everything down that I saw. Afterwards I went into my room sat
down at my desk and started. I hope you like the poem that I wrote. Love from Georgia.
